A partir de 2020, todas las nuevas validaciones deben cumplir con FIPS 140-3, que ofrece mayor seguridad, reconocimiento oficial y cumplimiento normativo a largo plazo.
Mientras los tokens FIPS 140-2 quedarán en categoría de "histórico" en Nist a partir de septiembre 2026, este modelo mantiene plena vigencia hasta 2034, garantizando confianza y durabilidad para entornos profesionales exigentes.
